About Us
Retired farmer and owner of Grimwood’s Construction, Don Grimwood created Smurfwood Trails on his farm near Canton, Missouri. Smurfwood Trails is located in Northeast Missouri and offers over 15 miles of ATV trails that cover 660 acres of various terrain. The trails include passes through timber, around fields, and across 19 purpose built bridges. (13 large bridges and 6 small bridges) Smurfwood gives you a choice to cross bridges or to try to cross the ditch. You also have a choice to go up the hills or to go around.
If you have been looking for a place to ride your sport, utility, or side x side ATVs* or off-road motorcycles, Smurfwood Trails is the place for you!
Smurfwood Trails offers weekend getaways for small groups who wish to reserve trails for private use. Weekend reservations start at $200 a day for up to 10 bikes. Each additional bike is only $20 per day.
If less than 10 bikes sign up for a date, then the cost would be more than $20 per bike to meet the minimum $200 daily price. Examples: 5 bikes would be $40 per bike, 2 bikes would be $100 per bike, 11 bikes would be $20 per bike. Check events page to see how many bikes have already signed up for the date you wish to reserve. If the calendar is marked OPEN, then anyone can come, one or more bikes for just $20 per bike.
An on-site cabin with electricity is available for $100 per night. Cabin amenities include a propane heating stove, five twin beds, three air mattresses, battery lanterns, two propane cooking grills, and one charcoal grill. Second cabin is an unfinished shell with one double bed. Sorry, no indoor plumbing in the cabins, but a separate showerhouse is onsite with a sink, 2 showers, and 2 flushable toilets. Water in showerhouse is not heated or drinkable. There is also a shelterhouse with picnic tables onsite. Space is available for campers and tents for $10 per night. Electricity and water is available for campers for an additional $20 per night.
